About me
My name is Dave Rogers and I am the head of Enthusiastic Press - an independent publishing company based in London and Paris. Enthusiastic Press was formed in January 2019 as a platform for unique, vibrant and engaging writing. Headed by an author with several years of experience in the industry, Enthusiastic Press takes an artist-centric approach - putting the writer at the centre of everything we do. There is no slush pile. Emphasis is placed on quality of work rather than how much money it might make. We sell our books at car boot sales, gigs, book fairs, pop-up stalls and online. We are a new movement - an independent publishing house with bite, incredibly proud of everything we have done so far and looking forward to a bright and exciting future. In November 2021, Enthusiastic Press was awarded the Santander FUEL award for new business.

I established Enthusiastic Press, my own publishing company, at the start of this year. I have so far released one novel as an A5 paperback, which I wrote, edited and also formatted. I took an online course to learn how paperbacks are put together for print, which I completed over a four-week period. The novel, 'Snares', is now for sale on Amazon, and will also be sold in Waterstones very soon. I am also currently editing the manuscript of my first novel, Somewhat Damaged, to release as a paperback in July. This book was previously sold digitally by Wild Wolf Publishing, but I have since regained the rights and have decided to revise the manuscript in its entirety. I am also currently receiving submissions for a poetry and prose anthology that I am planning on releasing in Autumn this year. A preliminary title for this book is: "Greetings. A collection of Poetry and Prose." Through digital marketing and word-of-mouth, I have so far received thirteen submissions of work that I am starting to edit and lay out in terms of page design and typography. Although I work as head of Enthusiastic Press as a freelancer, I would very much like to pursue a career in a similar field. I am incredibly enthusiastic about new writing and copy editing (hence the name I gave my company), and I would love to speak with you further about this passion of mine. Thank you so much for your time.
