About me

I am a freelance copywriter and writer. I have extensive experience in web copywriting and copyediting, blog writing, e-newsletters and press releases. I have been self-employed since 2016. I have been writing (previews/reviews) about art, culture, fashion, travel and theatre on my blog The Avant Garde since 2010. I wrote for Narc Magazine, a culture magazine in Newcastle from 2013 to 2016 and did a wide variety of pieces, including live music reviews, culture features and interviews with high profile stars such as Ruby Wax and Mark Gatiss.

• Social Butterfly CommsI have worked with a wide variety of businesses (including sole traders, community organisations, cultural organisations, wellbeing and fitness professionals and a yoga platform based in the US). My work includes web and print copywriting/copyediting, SEO copywriting, business blogging and social media management (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
• The Avant Garde (Art and Culture blog)I write about arts, culture, fashion, travel, food and events in the UK and abroad on my blog, The Avant Garde. I review theatre in the North East and beyond, as well as art and fashion exhibitions. I also write about wellbeing and review spas and wellbeing centres. Active since 2010.
