- The Eyelet Effect CollectionI've been experimenting with eyelets and I'm thrilled with their striking effectiveness in my designs. I've crafted sleek silhouettes, strategically placing eyelets as the focal point, and I believe I've achieved this with great success. Opting for Nylon fabric paired with gunmetal grey eyelets, rather than silver or any other colour, was a deliberate choice; it lends the garment a fresh and polished appearance, steering clear of any cheap aesthetic.
- Silk samplingI wanted to get used to sewing with silk, so I created 3 silk dresses and a silk Top. Both fabrics were very delicate to handle and slippery! I learned some hacks which included sandwiching the silk in-between tracing paper to help stop it slipping when cutting. Also, Lots of silk pins are a must, and some weights. Overall I had a frustrating but rewarding time creating these dresses, I love how they turned out.
