- Missoni Self PortraitIntruder A self portrait piece by Diana Patient for Missoni. Diana Patient is a portrait photographer unknown in fashion and she is not part of the Missoni family, yet she wears the Missoni clothes and photographs herself in the Missoni family house. She does not belong and, from a comparison between Diana and the world she intrudes upon, an idea of that world is painted. By being both model and photographer a new relationship between the two is explored away from the norm in the fashion world, where creative control and recognition are separated from the subject. Diana Patient é una fotografa che non appartiene né al mondo della moda né alla famiglia Missoni, ciononostante indossa abiti Missoni e si autoritrae in casa Missoni. E’ un’intrusa e il dialogo tra lei e il mondo in cui si insinua tratteggia un’idea particolare di quel mondo. Essendo al tempo stesso modella e fotografa, il suo lavoro esplora una nuova relazione tra le due dimensioni lontano dalla consuetudine del mondo della moda, dove il controllo creativo ed il riconoscimento sono estranei al soggetto fotografato.
