Dimitra Gkouma was born in Athens, Greece in 1992. She works predominantly in the medium of photography, but she also makes use of three dimensional fine art installations and the photo book as means of presentation. Presentation plays a very crucial aspect in her work, as she believes that an artistic piece should be aesthetically solved while at the same time a unique experience for the viewer. Dimitra is strongly influenced by figurative art and is basing her practice on various themes and concerns around and about the female human. She has completed an annual internship as a photographer at TATE London, as well as assisted different photographers such as Brian Griffins, Anna Daki, Damien Fry etc. She is currently based in London, UK where she just graduated from her BA Hons in Photography at the London College of Communication, University of Arts London.Locked Pro Plan feature
