About me
Life is a series of events and I love to celebrate them! I am venturesome, a hard-worker and a goal oriented person. I merely believe in the fact that achieving goals and scaling heights are all possible with the right attitude. I am confident that the opportunity of working in two different countries: India and UK and alongside liaising with international colleagues and classmates has made me self aware of diverse work ethics. The ability to work under pressure and engaging in varied roles has always inspired me and reflects in my engagements till date. In the later section I have explained my academic and professional journey so far and the transferable skills I own to establish my career in the field of Event Management. I began my professional life at Systems Plus wherein I experienced an enormous growth, and learned the interlink between Business Consultancy and IT. I grew as an individual and proved myself as an excellent player and during an annual performance received a top-notch rating. The roles & responsibilities assigned to me varied and gave me the opportunity to wear many hats. To enhance my management skills I choose a vibrant industry & followed my career path by undertaking Msc. International Events Management at The University of Surrey. The knowledge I gained in a year has been incredible. Insights about critical issues in events such as Health & Safety, Sustainability & Risk Assessment are areas that enlightened my perception about planning and executing events. I also learned to manage an event from the stages of inception till event closure. Alongside, my current internship has envisioned me in various aspects of how the event and tourism industries function in collaboration - highlighting the role events play in dynamic sectors like tourism to generate business & professional opportunities. I believe that my passion towards learning and working closely in events will provide me a platform to display my skills and follow my dream.
