About me
From a young age Dionne has had a creative edge, as time went on it became very obvious she was heading into fashion.
Dionne spent 5 years studying fashion at Birmingham university, towards the end of her education she became fascinated by menswear, in her final year after making her end of year collection Disorder Magazine decided to make one of her images front cover 07 edition.
This was a turning point for Dionne and she decided to pursue menswear, wanting to understand the construction of menswear from a classical perspective. She went on to take part in a pre-apprenticeship bespoke tailoring course at Newham college in East London, which lead her to make valuable contacts on Savile row.
After months of work experience in 2010 she managed to obtain an apprenticeship with Huntsman & sons one of the most renowned companies on Savile row.
Dionne worked at huntsman for 7 years through out that time she gained the opportunity to take part in the golden shears competition and managed to place 2nd in 2015 winning the silver shears, for her military frock coat and overalls outfit. This was a moment which Dionne started to think about her future in menswear.
She was also one of the few lucky women to be interviewed for Hello Fashion magazine for an article on women working in Savile row.
