About me
Through the combination of different varieties of genre, such as Indie, Alternative, Blues and Punk Rock with plenty addition of Ambient noises, Armin came up with his own unique tone with his '72 Telecaster Deluxe. This tone is inspired by a kind of mashup; from Rory Gallagher's legendary Treble-boosted 60s style tone and the famous Delays of U2's The Edge, along with Armin's own style of Reverb; all the way through a Vox AC30 and a Fender Bassman. The nickname "Distorverb" comes from the combination of two of his favourite effects pedals; Distortion and Reverb.
Armin's photography experience contains non-academic work as an Interest in Photography and Art. He takes B&W photos as a musician, inspired by The Edge and Andy Summers. As he describes: " A Musicman can be a good photographer; not a great one, but he/she can be a brilliant photographer for their Musical art. I used to take photographs since my childhood, and when I grew older, I realised that I'm really interested in it. Well obviously there are other arts that I love to create like a musical theatre play or something; but I believe photos can describe Music better. thats why album artworks and booklets come. The creator of Atelier Cologne niche perfumes; Christophe Cervasel believed that every single product of his company should have a unique photo that can describe the scent of the cologne. That is exactly what I believe. Every single song can be introduced by a special picture, a unique scene, and that is the Art of Photography in Music."
