This role requires me to go through the process of creating ideas and concepts based upon the brief that has been given to me. This will then lead to the development and illustration of book. These concepts vary so it is important that I immures myself into research process of the brief in order to have a greater understanding of what I am trying to illustrate in order for me achieve the best outcome. This role has helped achieve being able to stay calm, focused and driven in the mist of having to complete briefs under strict deadlines. It has also given me more confidence in my own style of work, and being able to merge different aspects of what the consumer wants as to how it is illustrated.

In October of 2015, I created my own clothing brand based upon a series of illustrations I had created based on a character called 'The Gorilla God' and other characters that guide him along his surrealist journey through time and space. The role of a creative director requires me always be in the know of current trends and move with the consumers wants in terms of that. In the process of this it is important that I maintain a strong eye for detail. This helps me figure out how I make my illustrative style conceptualise onto clothing with a contemporary touch at the same time. As well as creating, I am in charge of organising the shoot process of the clothing, having the ability to communicate and collaborate with people such as models, photographers and videographers as well as updating the brands social media.
