About me
Nic has spent the last 10 years in the design and creative industry. And now, after successful positions in multi-award-winning agencies, he’s taken the liberating leap into becoming a full-time freelance illustrator. Give Nic a fish and you’ll feed him for a day; teach him how to fish and, well, no guarantees of success there to be honest. But give that man his trusty iPad and drawing tablet, you’ll get an endless supply of quality digital illustrations. Previous examples of his work for happy clients include concept mascot designs and Tarot cards, to companywide character models. He’s ready & excited to help bring your next project to life. There's no job too big, small or varied. In the wild, you’ll find him working on his own indie passion projects; drawing dragons, robots, wizards and pirates (ninjas are cool too!), with occasional breaks for coffee, walking and playing with his labrador, Obi, and more coffee.

Part of the visualisation team we worked at all levels of the design process, from conceptual to finalised ready for print work. Working closely with the design team we'd visualise how the design works in the real world. This could mean moulding and creating bottles, billboards, clothing, studios, packaging or anything else the designs could be adapted on to show the full potential of the brand.

Part of the colour management team. Making sure images are treated to a high standard, consistent and suitable for print. The role also requires creative retouching which may also require the image itself to be altered. This could be comping a number of elements for multiply sources into a seamless image. Removing or adding something to the image, extending the image, or changing the colour scheme.
