About me
I come from an arts background, I have a BA in Creative Writing and Film and often lead poetry workshops for young people and perform at gigs in my spare time. The bulk of my work experience has been spent working with young people. During my time as a Youth Worker and Kayaking Instructor at Laburnum Boat Club I worked in a small team throughout the year delivering activities for local children, including children with disabilities and learning difficulties. I feel this time helped me learn how to lead groups, one on one coaching and also how to operate as part of a close-knit team with the help of my co-workers.
During my time at Southbank Centre and Barbican Centre I have been fortunate to work across numerous events, festivals and performances. I have gained a great understanding of how Art Venues work and got to know the different types of visitors and their needs. I thrive when working in a team, especially one that strives on delivering world-class service.
However, most importantly I enjoy working in an arts environment that offers such an extensive free arts programme to the community for the many, not the few.
I am reliable, positive, creative thinking and hard working in anything I put my mind to.
