Drew Hopper (b.1989) is an award winning freelance photographer based in Coffs Harbour, Australia.
Hopper’s work explores ecological, social and cultural themes throughout Australia and worldwide. Captivated by the diversity of environments, Drew ventures far and wide to capture pictures that define his experiences with the vision that they will impact and inspire an audience in a way individual to each viewer.
Drew is a regular contributor to Australian Geographic, covering assignments throughout Australia. He also regularly contributes to Australian Photography magazine writing articles and judges monthly contests and has work featured in numerous publications worldwide.
When Drew isn’t travelling or working commercially, he is at home working on personal projects with sensitivity allowing himself to feel and conceptualise deep emotion to evocative imagery and form a personal narrative.
He received a Diploma of Photography in June 2009 from Australian College (QED) before commencing work in the field as a freelance documentary photographer.
