About me
Hello, I am Duji,
I am a trained fashion designer. I began work in women's retail in Fast Fashion in London and after 12 years of working in London, Paris, India, Turkey, Bangladesh and the Far East, within retail, brand and supply, consider myself a specialist of the same. I was born and brought up in Delhi, a vibrant cosmopolitan city of India and I studied Fashion in London and the UK. I have spent most of my working life in London, with international projects in Paris and overseas work with suppliers. Mish-mash of cultures shaped my person and reflects in my creative work and working attitudes. I am comfortable in new environments, with new teams, and welcome challenges. I speak 3 Indian dialects and it comes handy. I love working with prints, embellishments, drapes and colour. I am told I have a feminine, edgy, coquettish, youthful and vintage handwriting.
In 2013, I set up TREASURE DESIGN, in West London, near Little Venice and Portobello Market. Treasure is an embellishments swatch concepts company, creating one of hangers for women's fashion. What started as a whim to prove a point has very quickly become a successful business with a name of its own in the industry and enviable clientele. Treasure is represented internationally in two shows in New York and Paris and sells to well know clothing brands and manufacturers all over the world. I bring to the company my ethos of innovation, professionalism and my self-confessed nomadism to make beautiful and desirable one-off designs. More information is available at www.treasure-design.co.uk .New opportunities though the company has taken me to collaborate with Walt Disney on stage costumes, creative collaborations for design and sourcing with international brands and most recently, to design and manage a bespoke clothing range for the E-commerce business of Reliance Retail in India. As Treasure moves at a steady pace, I am open to new collaborations and opportunities that would challenge me further in my practise.
I am also a coffee and yoga lover. I call myself a spiritual capitalist and a 'glass is half full' kind of gal. A trip to my favourite museum in London or trying out a new restaurant/ bar that challenges convention; is how I would like to spend my spare time. I soak up all cultures, appreciate all forms of arts and respect the dynamics of business.

- Treasure Embellishment StudioThis is an ongoing project that supports the Embellishment Textile Studio work of Treasure. I have uploaded artworks and designs from past collections as these are copyright protected. I am working on SS17 which will be showcased in New York -19-20 Jan, 2016 and Paris- 16-17 Feb 2016.
- Duji London Brand for RelianceA very exciting project to be launched in 2016. A collaboration with the biggest retailer in India to do a capsule 'design led' modern 'going-out' collection for the launch of their E-Commerce business in 2016. Designed and conceptualised my namesake collection to fit the profile of the client and the end consumer.
