- Charity AuctionsI was approached by two Irish charities to help in creating a website which allowed them, and other charities, upload content for auction. The idea came about becuase each charity had a number if items which have been donated to them to raise money but they had no way of pushing these items to a larger audience. The website is currently in beta testing, it will host timed auctions for items. the highest bidder after the allocated time will win the prize and the monies received will go to the se
- So Sell itin 2013 I co founded a start up business called So Sell it. Think of it as a Gum Tree but with a guaranteed offer on the items you try to sell. The business model concept originally was designed for the company to make offers on ALL items uploaded but cash-flow and man power became an issue. We decided to build a community for all sellers to upload for free and we would start off by making instant offers on the latest mobile and smart devices. Once additional resellers have been acquired then we can open the buy back model to further categories. The business has received financial backing from Enterprise Ireland and they has been listed So Sell it as an "High Potential Start Up".
- Merlin Property - The Auction HouseIn 2012, the Irish national broadcaster (RTE) asked if they could follow myself and my Managing Director for 12 months whilst we launched our first property auction. I subsequently was asked to be interviewed on our national broadcasters prime time Saturday night talk show to discuss the documentary.

The Merlin Group are Ireland's largest auction company with three operating companies Merlin Car Auction, Merlin Property and Ganly Craige (Plant & Machinery). My role was to manage and co ordinate the daily activity of all staff, working processes and operations for each of the group businesses. Below are some additional details of tasks competed in this role:
- Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director
Implemented and introduced new fee structures across the group, resulting in an increase in sales and attracted a wider consumer audience to our services.
Identified and improved operational efficiencies and reduced costs in each of the groups businesses, Merlin Property, Ganly Craigie
and Merlin Car Auctions.
Responsible for managing three separate companies, with 30 staff reporting directly to me in the following areas: sales, business development, marketing, investments, logistics, facility operations, and security.
Participated in and coordinated the planning of group charitable events, helping to raise €350,000 for Irish Autism Action.
Successfully steered the group through a difficult transition period upon the closure of two of the group’s companies, maintaining a positive reputation throughout the industry and a consistent and pleasant working environment for staff.
As a committee chair, I won numerous awards for the group including Deloitte Best Managed Company (2011) and A Great Place to Work (2012) from the Great Place to Work Institute.
