    I am currently working as the Gallery Manager at Everard Read Gallery. A high end commercial gallery which holds three locations across South Africa, this is the sole European branch. Working in the primary art market, representing contemporary artists has provided me the opportunity to work closely with internationally renowned artists. -Curating exhibitions. -Planning and executing the shipment of artwork both nationally and internationally. -Planning exhibition installation both within the gallery and for external exhibitions - liaising with external contractors and companies. -Liaising with artists to secure work. -Liaising with fabricators to arrange artists' editions. -Working with external design teams for gallery handouts and catalogues. -Communicating with our partner galleries. -Selling artwork. -Sharing information about the artwork both verbally and in text. -Managing the main Gallery inbox. -Sharing information about artwork. -Arranging artist’s settlements. -Maintaining the gallery database of artwork on Art Systems. -Updating the gallery website. -Composing mail outs to our audience. -I am a keyholder to the gallery. -Welcome visitors to the gallery. -Rearranging the gallery storage system. -Setting up and maintaining a new system to document shipping and share information with both contractors and clients. -Managing weekend staff.

    ROSL Arts is the creative arm of the private members organisation The Royal Over-Seas League. Working in a team of three and as the sole Visual Art focus, I had autonomy in my job, and took on a large amount of responsibility. -Programming exhibitions choosing galleries to partner with to grow our visual art audience as well as looking to satisfy the audience we retain. -Managing the budgets for exhibitions and events. -Hiring external teams and leading the installation of all the work that includes risk assessments and planning. -Producing online exhibitions while the gallery space was closed, using sketchup and VRay. -Organising events; researching subjects, planning promotion, coordinating across departments, managing budgets, working with external partners, setting up and maintaining ticket sales as well as running the event on the day. -Planning and leading online webinars and drawing classes. -Maintaining our social media networks. -Updating our database. -Selling artworks. -Regularly composing texts for press and publication in our magazine. -Undertaking public speaking and presentations to a variety of audiences. -Planning and executing our residencies for international artists. -Commissioning new artworks. -Restoring the current art collection. -Conceiving, planning and running a Photography Competition, from fundraising to exhibition.
