Schools Liaison and Outreach OfficerRobinson College, University of Cambridge

Responsible for the development of the College's widening participation, outreach, and recruitment programme, working with more than 2000 students (from Primary to Sixth Form), and over 150 schools per year, and executing our full calendar of admissions events and summer schools. I am the main point of contact to the College (and to the University of Cambridge) for all the schools and students in Gloucestershire, Swindon, Wiltshire, and Wandsworth, providing a friendly face to explain, promote, and widen participation to the University and to higher education in general.
I coordinate and deliver the annual calendar of admissions and recruitment events on behalf of the College. This requires the management of the £100,000 Admissions and Outreach budget, and being organised to a diagnosable level! I have extensive experience communication with and presenting to a diverse range of people and group sizes, as well as liaising between a broad web of stakeholders across the university.
I am responsible for the social media presence of the college across several platforms, and use these to advertise and publicise our events to our followers. Since being in my role I have increased our followers on Instagram by 1000%. I design the publicity and physical materials for all our events in order to reach as many of our target audiences as possible.
