I have been studying animation for more than five years and during that time I have directed or produced five short animated films. I am very interested in becoming an animation producer. Even though I love creating my own short films, the thing that comes more natural to me is organising projects and coordinating the work of other people. My animation skills and knowledge help me in understanding both the creative and the corporate side of an animation production. I have worked as part of a team for a few years now, both in creative agencies and in university projects. I am looking forward to experiencing this creative atmosphere in my professional life again.
I was the producer and one of the animators in a group of four people. We created a four minutes stop-motion animation, inspired by the English National Opera production of "The Indian Queen" As the producer I made sure everything run smoothly during production and that we met our deadline successfully. After the completion of the project I also took on the responsibility of promoting the film further by sending it to festivals. So far we have succeeded in winning two awards for best animation.
For the past year I have occasionally taken on animation work for various projects at Planet Jump Productions.
I did a one-month internship at Picasso Pictures during which I was animating a variety of background characters for they current advert project, using Adobe Flash.
I created a one-minute animated film for the Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret based on a brief to "bring back the people". This short was then part of the CUT exhibition that was curated inside the museum. In fact, the exhibition was so successful that it was extended and the museum has commissioned new animators for a repeat this year.
I was colouring in Adobe Flash, for the studio's short film "Lost Property"
