During a month's internship at Food & Travel Magazine, I undertook many of the tasks of an editorial assistant. I called in images ensuring they were the correct size and quality, as well as conducting extensive research into restaurants and hotels for the magazine. As reward for my hard work during the placement I was rewarded with a visit to the Langham Hotel, London to review the hotel's cookery school. During this visit I was required to represent the magazine with the highest respect and following it I wrote a 400-page review which was featured in the magazine's next issue.

Myself and my team were nominated for and won the award for Best New Magazine Brand at the Magazine Academy for our work on Canvas & Glass Magazine. The magazine was called "zeitgeisty" and "of the moment" by the judges, for its focus on environmental issues.
