About me

Elísabet Soffía Bender is a womenswear designer, born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland and is due to graduate from Leeds Art University this year (2020). Prior to undertaking her BA in fashion design she graduated and got a licence to be a tailor from The Technology College of Reykjavík in May 2018. During her learning period that began in 2015, she learned a lot about garment construction, tailoring and pattern making. Elísabet likes to design on the stand, and create interesting shapes through creative pattern cutting; that influenced her from her second-year work at Leeds Art University and brings the tailoring she learned in Technology College of Reykjavík through in her empowering womenswear design.
