    Social Media Marketing Intern
     - London, United KingdomInternship
During the summer of 2016, I was an Intern for the strategic brands and communications consultancy Think JPC (or JPCreative). At JPC, Jannette Pritchard (CEO and Founder of Think JPC) does not believe in hiring interns to assist in mundane activities such as the tea and coffee run but rather provide her interns with employable skills. Therefore, during my time my duties firstly included researching current and prospective clients and creating profiles documenting relevant information about their professional and private lives. Jeannette would read these before business dinners and expos so she could have relevant conversation fodder for each client, increasing her chances with business with them or their companies. I also was in charge of maintaining the company's social media such as Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, a profile I created for the company whilst providing them with a document on how to use LinkedIn to the best of its ability. Using Tweetdeck, I scheduled relevant tweets on the company's news and other relevant news concerning wearable tech, technology and sport (JPC was in partnership with Dimension Data, the technology partner for Le Tour de France, at the time in which Le Tour de France was occurring), and any news relevant to their clients and current projects. During my time with the wonderful team at JPC, I also wrote blogs including one called "Bravery Creates Opportunities" (http://thinkjpc.com/being-jpc/thought-month-bravery-creates-opportunities/) which not only documented my time at the company but linked to the company's ethos of "Original, Brave, Collaborative", encouraging employees to speak up about their creative ideas and learn to be heard, which I definitely did. Therefore, overall this internship provided me with incredible practical skills in research and social media that I would not have learned through my degree and therefore, I feel I am more confident and collaborative in an office environment.

Education
    Scriptwriting for Film Television
    Bournemouth, United Kingdom
I currently study Scriptwriting for Film and Television at Bournemouth University and will be a graduate come June 2017. Here I have learnt not only a range of writing skills such as not relying on dialogue to tell a story, foreshadowing and character development but also practical skills. These include industry awareness (and therefore upon extension, cultural and socio-political awareness of every day news) such as catering to production company's and television channels ethos', research skills, presenting skills and ability to work within a team. At Bournemouth University, we are also taught from the start to not be precious with our writing and ideas and therefore am very open to other colleagues and senior's input into my work without resistance. However if I believe wholeheartedly in a new creative project and the way it is going, I will also stand my ground. Throughout my time at university I have met some incredibly inspirational people within the industry such as Chris Lang (Unforgotten, ITV) and the team behind the BFX Festival who have taught me how to liaise with people in the industry and make contacts without over stepping the mark. We have also had incredibly helpful units throughout my three years studying including script editing, TV bible writing and working within a team of other scriptwriters, TV Production students, Digital Media students and Radio students to provide a short "Comedy Blap" for Channel 4, a website to showcase it on and an accompanying radio sketch which I wrote. Therefore, I do not just have a knowledge of exclusively television and film writing but also editing and reading as well as writing for radio. Though I am a student and soon to be graduate, I am very hardworking and creative with a strong belief in my ability as a writer - any forms of creative writing. I believe given the chance to prove myself, I could show a creative company how much I could thrive given the opportunity.
    A Levels
     - Brighton, United Kingdom
Whilst studying for my A Levels in Media Studies, English Literature and Early Modern History at BHASVIC, I gained many skills that I believe has expanded my writing abilities. Alongside my studies, I also created a couple of short films with fellow Media Studies and Film Studies students as well as writing regular film reviews for the college's online magazine. As this was free lance work, I learned how to keep myself to a deadline without senior pressure whilst also researching popular or controversial films to write about and how they were relevant to our students and current news. Furthermore, my A Level studies in Media Studies furthered my knowledge in visual arts and the significance of iconography, musical elements and socio-political context through textual analysis. My English Literature A Level broadened and heightened my awareness of basic writing skills such as spelling, grammar and punctuation whilst enriching my words through studying the style and approach of writers and poets such as Shakespeare, John Donne and Sylvia Plath. Lastly, my Early Modern History degree, though seemingly not relevant to the career of a writer, enriched my passion for period drama through discovering many fascinating stories of the royal and noble of the past, including many hidden stories found through my own research. One of these includes the story of Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun, Marie Antoinette's personal painter and endlessly fascinating figure from history who, as a feminist, captivates my attention as a possible project.
