Music Producer and Visual ArtistLondon, United Kingdom
About me
22 year old visual artist, music producer and singer-songwriter (under the alias 'azileli') from South London. Studied Creative Music Technology at Bath Spa University, developing an interest in audio post-production for moving image, sound design, music production, mixing and mastering while incorporating a love for visual art wherever possible. Spent 6 months in Paris working with Basement Studios, learning skills in sound engineering and production while working closely with local artists. Looking for opportunities to build my portfolio and expand on my skillset.

  • A.I.D.E.M.
A.I.D.E.M.Film short by Jùlia Martinho about the effects of the media on female body image, featuring my original soundtrack. I worked with samples of show tunes for this piece, making them eerie and distorted to fit with the idea of a sinister superficiality.

  • A.I.D.E.M
A.I.D.E.MThis project is a short written and directed by me for university. This work aims to explore the influence of the media on women's everyday life and self-esteem. I want to incite informed discussions about this matter and encourage other people to speak about their experiences. I worked with some incredibly inspiring women on this project and even though it is not perfect, I am extremely proud of what we accomplished together.

    English TeacherLes Petits Bilingues
     - Paris, FranceFull Time
During my time in Paris, I worked part-time with Les Petits Bilingues, running one hour tuition sessions with small groups of up to 4 children aged from 3-10 years old, as well as 3 hour sessions with classes of 12 children aged 3 years. This was both a challenging and rewarding experience in which I had to learn confidence, responsibility, time management, organisation and communication skills - adapting the lesson plans to suits the child's individual needs. There was also an administrative element through this role by preparing and organising lesson plans.

    Alumini Scholarship AwardBath Spa University
During my degree at Bath Spa University I was selected for the Alumini Scholarship Scheme, where I was awarded £500 to realise a project of my choice. I decided to put this towards an audio-visual installation piece entitled (Not) Only (A) Girl, which documented my personal experience being the only female in my yeargroup, as a way of shedding light on the issue of the gender imbalance in my field. The piece involved two paintings, a tunnel structure, two 9-minute immersive tracks and a written script of which I was entirely responsible for.
