I am responsible for controlling output workflow by managing a team of broadcast journalists to ensure they edit video news packages in a timeframe that can compete with the likes of APTN. I am responsible for smooth and technically sound final video edits, factual accuracy and style in scripts and shot-lists alongside writing succinct and click-worthy headlines. I am required to keep on top of breaking news 24/7, pitch unique story ideas, as well as consistently increasing my knowledge of historical/political affairs.
Arts Editor- Waxxx Magazine Was head editor of the arts section of bi-monthly Liverpool publication Waxxx. Along with finding, organizing and assigning content, I helped in the formation of a ‘profiles’ section dedicated to local artists
Worked for travel website iHoppers. Responsibilities included researching and attaining photos of tourist spots in the Canary Islands. I was also in charge of editing all of the English language articles written by interns during my time there.
Whilst interning at this Liverpool family magazine, I edited two issues, and wrote a range of articles based on subjects such as education, child behaviour, family days out and assisted with advertising and PR campaigns.
Upon completing an internship, I secured regular paid freelance work at Archant's regional publication Cheshire Life. I wrote a range of articles and conducted numerous interviews with local artists, photographers and businessmen.I also wrote book reviews, reported local news, and compiled events listings.
I took completed modules including media law, public affairs and sub editing.
Studied French up to B1 level and undertook courses in American and 17th Century Literature.

I achieved a 2:1 in English Literature and Language. I specialized in Literary Editing and launched my own magazine "STEEL', an arts and culture magazine that was distributed for free around Sheffield. I took additional modules in French before embarking on an Erasmus exchange at the University of Neuchâtel.
