Hi! My name is Elle.
I am a multi-disciplinary designer with experience in crafting innovative print and digital design solutions for a wide range of clients. I enjoy the process of researching design projects, through to concepts, sketches and print production.
For the past three years I have been designing for sectors including retail, food and luxury goods, as well as the tech industry and the public sector. During work I have also gained skills in illustration, interaction design, photography, film editing and product design.
Projects
- PizzaExpress — Piccolo PackThe Piccolo pack keeps children entertained for a family meal out. Over 2 million were printed for PizzaExpress restaurants in the UK and worldwide. Worked on full breadth of the project; from initial ideas to vectorising illustrations and creating print ready files. Projects created at Otherway.
- London Design FestivalDesigned a monospaced typeface and built a functioning bespoke letterpress. By attempting to consume ever more digital media, do we end up understanding less? How do we make sense of all the information we consume? With traditional printing techniques and language processing software, the Out of Print project explored these questions. Project in collaboration with Six:Thirty and Goldsmiths students.
- Southwark CouncilCreated concept and illustrations for a campaign to highlight the beginning signs of domestic abuse, and the diversity of people who can be affected by it. The ads were displayed on a variety of media including posters, online, and magazines. Referrals to Southwark Council’s domestic abuse provider increased by 40%. Project in collaboration with Southwark Council and This Ain’t Rock’n’Roll.
- Kneed BakeryKneed is a small start-up bakery concept; the proposed look-and-feel was comforting, warm and hand-made. The typeface was designed through experimenting with dough and the brand has a light and jokey tone of voice. (The name ‘kneed’ is derived from the process of preparing bread, and the desire to eat). Student project at Shillington College.
- Chem+CoChem+co are a large pharmaceutical company in Canada. To showcase their success over the last year, Chem+co wanted an annual report that reflected their friendly, flexible and innovative philosophy. It was therefore essential that the document ‘Think Differently’ was professional without being overtly corporate. This project was a student brief at Shillington College.
