About me
There is power in words. There is power in an ability to convey a message using written words. I try, in everything I do and in every project that I take on, to use my power and various platforms to convey a strong set of values, morals and principles and believe it is fundamentally important to use power for good.
Teaching people about different ideas and perspectives, is the best way to create long-lasting change. Helping others understand alternative ways of seeing the world, creates a population wealthy in knowledge. A population with a greater ability to explore all of their choices and execute their own power.
This is what I love about the power of words, the power of journalism and the power of good quality writing. Giving a voice to those who have lost theirs and promoting a wide and diverse array of thoughts and opinions is my biggest passion. Making the unseen, seen and changing the perspectives of those promoting dangerous rhetorics is what I meticulously focus on, across all aspects of my personal and professional life.
I am an avid political follower, with a great understanding and interest in both UK and US political systems and how the intertwined nature of the two political systems have the power to dominate the entire globe. I am a devoted and passionate feminist and devote the majority of my time speaking up for marginalised communities around the globe.
In my free time I write political commentary, in the form of short pros, pouring vulnerability, emotion and creativity into everything I do for 'fun'. I am also writing a book on the destructive nature of the right-wing politics leading this country right now and why alternative ways of ruling are fundamentally better.
I am an avid traveller and my favourite past-time is exploring different cultures, ways of life, food and communities. I love to learn and read all that I can about everything I can, from a wide-range of news and academic sources to important fiction and non-fiction.

Its strongest sections are Health and Education.
My roles include:
- Researching and writing features for the monthly paper that addressed issues/ events related to the readership
- Finding news stories to put both in the paper and on the newspapers website,
- Chasing up leads and conducting interviews
- Attending events and representing the paper
- Writing letters and emails to potential interviewees for stories
- Conducting interviews; over the phone, via email and face to face
- Writing reviews
- Controlling and updating website content
