I am a recent graduate from Kingston School of Art with an international degree in Illustration Animation. My practice ties together the disciplines of researcher and image-maker, and my projects often begin and end with an open book.

  The V&ACommissioned artwork for The V&A 2018 performance festival programme, ‘Censorship and Circus’.
• Exberliner Magazinen 2018 I took an internship with Berlin based arts and culture magazine ‘Exberliner’. Whilst there I worked as an in-house Journalist and Illustrator. Here is a selection of my printed works.

  After Spicer, After LorcaSelected works from a months residency with De Liceiras in Portugal. Prints inspired by Frederico Garcia Lorca’s poetry.
• BANGHow do we re-think our experience of silence, a sensation we perceive to be neither heard, seen, nor felt? How do we measure silence, what space does silence occupy, and does absolute silence really exist? BANG is a research-based project in response to these questions.
• ToscaAnimation short for The Royal Opera House, re-imagining the story of Tosca in a modern-day Tuscan kitchen. Link: https://vimeo.com/elliedempsey
• 1 Hr 371 Hour 37 is a calculation of silence in J.D. Salinger’s novella Franny and Zooey, figured by using punctuation marks as a measure. If a full-stop, an ellipsis, a comma are moments for breath, then how much silence exists between the words on the page?
