About me
I am a student at the University of Surrey currently taking some PTO from my English Literature BA to focus on gaining some experience in industry and developing my skills. I am a competent writer and a fast-learner; I have good communication and organisational skills. I am driven and motivated and have a keen eye for detail.
In my spare time you can find me with my nose in a book or consuming podcast episodes whilst out on a jog.

VolunteerWomankind Worldwide

I volunteered remotely for Womankind Worldwide for six months. During my time with them, I supported the Fundraising and Marketing team. Some of my greatest achievements at Womankind were: seeing a new fundraising product that I had helped to design and conceptualise go live on their website; writing copy that was published on their social media platforms and website; developing and marketing a fundraising activity that many of their supporters took part in for International Women’s Day 2021; researching and helping to put together an updated Legacy Gift information pack and webpage; and drafting communications with Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations and Individual Givers in the form of letters and emails.
Overall, I really enjoyed being part of the lovely team at Womankind, and helping them through the additional burden of the pandemic by taking on some of the more time-consuming admin and research tasks. Everyone at Womankind has such an important connection to the cause, and it was wonderful to see how they could continue their vitally important work through the challenge of COVID-19 and remote working. I really took so much on board and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn a lot about the Fundraising and Marketing industry as well as playing a small part in keeping the charity’s work with marginalised women and girls going.
