Station ManagerLSRadio
- Liverpool, United KingdomFreelance
LSRadio Committee member since 2017 as music submissions editor, I have been a part of LSRadio since the beginning of 2017 doing a radio show, music reviews and interviews, I have learnt a lot of important skills such as working well as a team with the committee and other members of LSRadio, working independently to write reviews and plan my radio show every week, organisation skills such as putting events together and I have developed my confidence massively over the past year. Reviews that I have done for LSRadio include local bands such as Skinners Lane and Black Pulp and interviews include artists such as The Rahs.
I have also worked as part of an editing and social media team for LSRadio in my role as YouTube Coordinator, I have developed skills in cinematography and editing as well as using social media effectively.
In 2018 I was voted as Station Manager for LSRadio and this has been a huge role for me, my responsibilities include running the station as a whole, acting as producer as well as presenter, helping to organize events, planning every element of the radio including schedules, running meetings and creating and editing content.
Whilst working with LSRadio I started working with BBC Radio Merseyside on Jermaine Fosters show, organising guests from LSRadio to go on the show and doing research into conversation topics, I also took part in a few of the shows myself talking about current affairs. I was confident and presented myself well on these shows and learned a lot what it was like to be on a high profile radio station and it helped me to gain confidence in myself on the radio.

Bachelor of the Arts in Media and Communications and Film Studies. My degree has taught me a lot of media based skills including using social media, which I have taken and projected my role as a radio show host with, I have created a twitter account for my radio show which allows me to advertise the show and communicate better with my listeners. I have used social media as a marketing strategy for not only my radio show but for my writing and the posts that go up on each blog I write for.
