About me

I have 10 years experience working in creative, educational and heritage settings. My background is in drama and art; I have worked as a writer, event producer, in marketing, creative content, drama facilitator, clown, lecturer, venue manager, outreach and as an arts program designer. I have been a freelancer for the majority of my working life and so I have had to be proactive, adaptable, resourceful, hardworking and ready to work with lots of different people! I believe that the arts are vital tools for celebrating identity, growth, healing and being able to play. I am now looking to find a creative place of work where I can become part of a team, be proactive and plant my roots!

2017-2019 Producer of The Unfinished Things Festival The Unfinished Things Festival is a homegrown community arts festival that celebrates creativity and reinforces the fact that ideas in any stage of development are worthwhile. The festival has run in multiple venues such as CentrE17 Theatre and the Croydon Arts Store. It is in it’s second year of development. ➢ Event planning- sourcing venues, equipment and volunteers. ➢ Marketing- designing the website, posters and promotional emails. ➢ Outreach- communicating to different sectors of the community that would be interested in taking part. Ensuring hurdles such as accessibility and finance are supported. ➢ Stage management- running the event ‘backstage’ being on hand to problem solve, communicate with the venue and staff, ensuring the smooth running of the event.
