After graduating from the University of Leeds with a First Class Honours degree in BA Art & Design, I am keen to commence a career within the creative sector. My academic work was largely influenced by a strong interest in fashion history and contemporary culture, which I translated into creative pieces and installations following informed research and analysis on the discourses. My organisational skills also ensure effective time management, which allowed me to take on additional responsibilities alongside my studies, to broaden my university experience. I volunteered at student-run Lippy Magazine as Head of Design, a role which allowed me to gain valuable design skills and knowledge, working alongside other creatives and members of the production team. Time management during my studies was vital, as I also worked as a part-time café and catering assistant.
I currently work as a caterer, where I have accumulated excellent skills in teamwork and organisation, gaining responsibility to independently oversee client orders. However, I am excited to take on a role within a creative profession which would allow me to learn new skills, contribute ideas and engage with design practice.
