From starting at the Student Union I have helped to organise and run a number of large scale and smaller Events for students. I have worked closely with on-campus societies in the office and Events. • I have helped to organise new and ongoing events that take place every week called Wellbeing Wednesday. It has allowed me to manage 50 or more students. • I have worked on large-scale events, for example, fresher’s week. Fresher’s Fair was a large Event during this week where I was able to manage the entire day, which included 400-500 students. This allowed me to tackle any issues that happened on the day and solve problems on the spot with my quick thinking. • During this role I took control of admin roles. An example of this would be taking control of the volunteering page on the website. I have had full responsibility for liaising with different organisations to arrange volunteering opportunities for students.
