    • Member of the Board of Trustees, overseeing all financial, legal and reputational aspects of the student’s union • Chair of the Marketing Sub-committee that fed into the trustee board • Restructured the membership of the Trustee Board to include members with relevant experience, including interviewing candidates and helping to set the shape the Trustee Board and the direction of the Union • Presented at the union’s annual AGM • Overall responsibility for the Union’s finances (a registered charity with £1.7m turnover), approving purchases and providing input into the future direction of the Union • Contributed to the development of the organisation’s new strategic plan, and led the creation of the unions strategic aim for income generation

    • Elected Sabbatical Officer for 1 year, with responsibility for representing 17,000 students and compelting my manifesto • Played a pivotal role in the student’s union, with full involvement in every aspect of the day to day running • Leading a marketing team of 4 people, overseeing all communications, press statements and event marketing • Sat in multiple board meetings, working groups and Committees within Kingston University, including Property Assurance Committee/Group (now the estates and campus environment); University Waste Steering Group, Catering Steering Group (Elior), Travel Implementation Group, Bus Stakeholder Group, Accommodation/Residences project, Halls Managers Meeting, Welcome and Transition, Timetabling Users Forum, Kingston Award Ratification Panel, University IT Committee, Printer meetings with Konica Minolta, Uni Marketing team, Estates and UKS meeting, UKS/I&TS/LLS, Varsity (With City Sport); Learning Spaces Advisory Group; Faculty Education Committees; Faculty Forums; Boards of Study; SSCC's Notable highlights: • Promoting relationships with external brands, overseeing sales of student discount cards and identifying new income generation opportunities for the Union • Updating website content and coordinating all engagement and communications with students • Brainstorming to generate new ideas for events, determining forecasted costs, event structure, project timelines, staffing, budgeting, branding, and all communications • Created events for non-drinking students, after student feedback indicated a demand for non-alcohol based events • Establishing contact with local bars and nightclubs, negotiating and agreeing contracts and terms with event venues, setting budgets, defining any acts to attend, and contributing ideas • Led a campaign to make additonal university fees more transparent, conducted research to identify that the full costs of degree tuition was not as advertised, acquired data surveying 600 students, prepared and presented a report breaking down the costs of each campus and course, and helped the university to identify and reduce the costs to eliminate the possibility of the university being held liable • Negotiated more advantageous costs on meals with catering providers, introducing snacks and wider options, and created a symbiotic relationship by promoting the use of their bar in return • Created a case for the university to retain use of lynda.com while expanding it at multiple campuses to boost student usage, and increased signup using available resources • Identified new revenue streams to make the Union less dependant on the university, and reviewed all outsourced services • Generated income to help students, which was reinvested to provide student support for future events • Participating in income generation, personally generating over £20k in sales for the Union from creating leads and engaging with students to sell the Union’s products such as Freshers wristbands • Ran Freshers events during Freshers Week • Created and distributed the marketing material for the 2018 Freshers, which lead to an increase of £14k sales bringing total sales up from £34k to £48k YOY • Approaching potential new leads for freshers fairs and selling stalls to companies generating £7950 in sales alone • Participating in the recruitment of numerous staff members within the Union • Acted as a panel member on serious University and Union disciplinary matters
