From the internship I feel I have developed skills that are extremely relevant for a job opportunity like this, I can extensively research to find images to stimulate ideas and curiosity. Create exciting mood boards and product ranges for the whole team to use and reference. Recognise current trends, whats already on the market and what details are relevant. Researching existing historical garments and applying their special detailing to create new exciting ones but in simpler ways. How develop these points of detail further across a whole commercial collection and to make beautiful designs that sell. I’m extremely confident with Photoshop when designing to quickly show ideas which I know is important in fast paced environments, also very confident with illustrator for tech drawings. I am very good at listening to instructions and carrying out requests exactly, I work really well in a team environment as well as confidently working independently. I am able to playfully create samples and textiles that can be used in so many different ways as well as pattern cutting creatively. I have had the opportunity to liaise and negotiate which different people at all levels of the industry. I am a confident articulate young woman and enjoy chatting with people from all walks of life which is great when working in close knit environments.
