ARTISTS' INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND

  • Awarded grant, Artists' International Development Fund, from British Council and Arts Council England for project concept written on behalf of myself and photographer Ellen Rogers. Project was a photo series in Slovakia documenting Slovak contemporary and folk fashion in varied locations around the country. In the pre-production phase I developed the budget, recruited models, scheduled the trip and days of shooting, liaised with designers and folk garment collectors, and arranged accommodation. During the 13-day trip I was producing, art directing and styling the 13 photo shoots we carried out. After the shoot I did photo selections with Ellen and developed the newspaper to accompany our exhibition held during Slovak Fashion Week in October. For the newspaper I created page sequencing and sourced, wrote and edited copy.
