About me
My name is Emiliya Demerdzhieva and I am currently working as senior fashion stylist. I moved to London more than 7 year ago. Started my career as e-commerce stylist at the time, decision influenced by my childhood love for fashion and theatre. Before my current job I have worked in the FMCG industry as Brand Manager for Yves Rocher. I had a chance to get directly involved in analyzing financial statements, brand expansion, monitoring business performance against business goals, following up on the brand awareness campaigns, consumer diagnostics, profitability projections, price/sales estimates.
As much as I love fashion, I never understood that fashion was a career I could pursue. I was awarded a Master Degree in Economics prior my move to London and I have been working towards becoming a professional accountant, when I came to the realization that my passion for accountancy was no longer there. Upon further reflection, I recognized that my love for business and management has never really gone away.
I decided to take steps to better understand the business/ retail side of the fashion industry in hope that my experience would lead me to position in the field. Working in e-commerce fashion photography showed me that I am extremely interested in the retail and buying side in fashion. Where I can implement my e-commerce, visual/ trend awareness, analytical skills and interest in sales and customer behavior. In the end it is all about the customer, success in business is more likely to be judged in how it contributes to the bottom line of the balance sheet.
I deeply believe in what I do and know how important all the small steps are. Being organized, self-starter, fast learner, loyal with attention to detail and most important, dedicated to my job. I am always looking for career-building opportunities in an environment where I can learn and progress
