About me
Emily is a textile print student currently studying in her Studio+ Year in NCAD, Dublin. Founder of Bourkily Design, a quirky and colourful textile print brand. She sells printed silk scarves through her Instagram and is stocked in local Dublin boutique Om Diva. A kaleidoscope of colour in seen throughout her work, with bright and bold patterns being her speciality. Drawn to the beauty and the vibrant colours within nature, her work often includes motifs inspired by the natural world. Maximalism is at the heart of her work. A quirky and colourful budding designer, Emily is open to textile print commissions and collaborations and everything inbetween.

Includes creation and development of textile prints, colour matching Pantone swatches to prints, liaising with buyers and fabric mills, checking scale and colour of strike off prints, swatch and sampling of fabrics.

Internship completed with sustainable fashion hub and pre-loved clothing store Studio Minti, run by fashion designer Laura Egan.
Duties included E-Commerce, blog writing, social media management, graphic design, garment handling, packaging and processing of online orders, photography & general daily studio tasks. - Set up & wrote for the Studio Minti blog, focusing on sustainable fashion articles, DIY tutorials and upcycles done in studio.
