About me
I’m upbeat, thoughtful, creative, strategic, organised, enthusiastic, love working with bright people with big hearts. I spent the last decade running a charity in London (OURMALA) that I founded to supporte the refugee and asylum-seeking community. We also worked with survivors and bereaved from the Grenfell fire. I’m a long-term meditator and yoga practitioner, I love the arts, reading, nature and the outdoors and riding horses and I’m also a massive fan of EastEnders…. I care deeply about our planet and biodiversity and enjoy working on values-based projects. Currently looking for my next role ~ available 3-4 days p/week.

I founded and built this charity from the ground-up to help refugees and asylum-seekers living in London. When I left in 2020, I was leading a team of 100 (part-time staff, freelancers and volunteers). We were selected by lululemon to be its first ever non-profit pattern back in 2016, by the NHS to deliver trauma informed yoga for survivors and bereaved from the Grenfell fire and we worked across London and further afield with hundreds of women, men, young people and children. We also won bids from Big Lottery, the EU and other finders. I was part of the APPG on Yoga in Healthcare and represented our work with undocumented migrants to artists, business leaders and members of the House of Lords. To pay my bills as I developed the charity, I worked part-time communications consultancy contracts with Rio Tinto, managed end to end strategic comms and working on policy with the C-Suite.
