About me

I have recently graduated from Manchester School of Art with a First Class Honours focused in Fine Art and Art History. The skills which I have gained throughout my degree have allowed me to become an analytical, critical and creative individual, who thrives within a high pressure, deadline driven environment. I am organised and highly efficient with a keen eye for detail. As an ambitious person I am seeking a role which challenges me whilst also allowing me to learn and further develop my skills. I have a passion for contemporary art, my main interests include discovering new artists and innovative ways of viewing and displaying art. Moreover, my interest in photography has also developed over a number of years resulting in much of my artistic practice becoming photography based.

My role as an intern for ArtsHaus includes putting together collections of individually selected artworks, writing discussion blog pieces and brainstorming marketing and advertising strategies. Working for ArtsHaus has given me an insight into advertising and marketing campaigns which has developed my own interest and knowledge in the field. Moreover, I have been able to cultivate my interest for interior design. The knowledge which I have gained throughout my internship at ArtsHaus has shaped my ability to adapt quickly, think creatively and work effectively as part of a team or on my own. The skills which I have gained throughout my degree have allowed me to become an analytical, critical and creative individual, who thrives within a high pressure, deadline driven environment. I have experience of organising events, interviewing and filming. Co-ordinating and curating group art exhibitions was an integral element to my degree, in addition to organising other events which ran alongside or in the lead up to said exhibitions such as print fairs and zine launches. I organised a talk with another student which consisted of a panel of creative professionals discussing their careers, this included the creative director of the BBC, Pam Cavanagh. The aim of this event was to give creative, soon to be graduates an insight into alternative career paths. I helped to successfully raise money to fund our degree show catalogue, we exceeded our target and decided to donate the remaining money to the Seashell Trust. I have successfully maintained a blog for over four years based on my personal artistic practice.
