A hard working, enthusiastic and dedicated Visual Merchandiser & Fashion Retailer, who is reliable and committed. Also is confident, enjoys new challenges and continually strives to achieve set goals and targets. Ability to work under pressure and a good team player. Commercially aware, with strong desire to succeed.
I am currently working as a full time Visual Merchandiser for Bhs in the UK. I plan to visit Australia in June 2014 in order to further my career and gain a bigger insight into the industry.
Work history
Visual Merchandiser
BHS Ltd. is a British department store chain with branches mainly located in high street locations, primarily selling clothing and household items such as bedlinen, cutlery, crockery and lighting. BHS is part of the Arcadia group which is owned by Sir Phillip Green. The company has 179 stores throughout the UK.
I currently work in one of the flagship stores for the company. As a Visual Merchandiser my main objective is to use my creative skills to produce interesting and eye-catching in-store displays and windows to promote the product and image of the company.
My main objectives are:
• Visual decisions of product
• Install windows - weekly
• Produce creative in-store displays
• Mannequin checks daily
• Everything to be visually perfect
• Communicating and co-ordinating visual updates and model store
• Implement all new signage and graphics
• Merchandise all stock to range
• Run the Visual team when manager is not in
• Prepare and input all events

I studied Visual Merchandsisng at the Fashiom Retail Academy. I graduated receiving a Merit for the course. During my time at the academy I undertook two three week work placements working in the Visual teams. This was my first insight into the industry as a Visual Merchandiser.
