About me
Emily is a theatre maker and producer. She graduated from The University of Manchester with a First Class Honours in Drama and received a Postgraduate Certificate in Physical Theatre from Royal Holloway University with the Jasmin Vardimon Company. Emily is a co-founder of award-winning theatre company, The Wardrobe Ensemble. Alongside devising, she produces their Outreach and Younger Years work. The Wardrobe Ensemble are associates of Shoreditch Town Hall and The Wardrobe Theatre. They are a Complicite associate company. Emily is also a freelance producer and project manager, having developed and managed numerous independent art projects.

  • The Intergenerational Sessions
    The Intergenerational SessionsA series of workshops that brought older and younger people together to have a conversation. Through a range of creative activities - we shared stories, talked about what mattered to us and got to realise that we had more in common with each other than we thought. During lockdown we also produced a workshop pack that could be done between family members who weren't able to see each other or by people who didn't know each other at all.   • Ecce Homo by Project Hu-man
    Ecce Homo by Project Hu-manLed by BAFTA-winning TV Producer, Emily Thompson, this is a creative collaboration between a host of theatre practitioners, musicians and filmmaker, who are exploring male mental health, gender anxieties and suicide. This project is part-art exhibition, part-museum and part-performance - as we explore what it means to be a man today.
