About me
I am a recent BA (HONS) Fashion Design graduate from Liverpool John Moores Univeristy. During my time studying for my fashion degree, I have developed a passion for menswear and am particularly excited by creative pattern cutting, construction, craft, detail and 3D development in CAD and physical forms. Within my profile you will find my recent work and portfolios.
Projects
  • Manufactured Landscapes Technical Pack
Manufactured Landscapes Technical PackDue to the current pandemic I was unable to manufacture my collection, however I have produced a detailed technical pack explaining the construction and manufacture processes.
  • Manufactured Landscapes
Manufactured LandscapesMy ‘Manufactured Landscapes’ menswear collection was inspired by the work of Edward Burtynsky whose photographs captured damaged landscapes created by human activity. Thorough research into his work led me to focus on quarries - their rock formations, textures, structures, colours and patterns - to create a menswear collection.

Meet the GFF 2020 Fashion Technical Drawing Award NomineesTechnical flat lay digital drawings play a huge part within design and manufacturing roles in the fashion industry. Graduate Fashion Foundation is proud to support the important skill and recognise the value it holds. Ensuring a Technical Drawing is correct, to scale and featuring all components is incredibly important to ensure another team member, or factory can manufacture the garment correctly. Costume CounsellorCAMP TACONIC
     - United StatesFull Time
I spent over 3 months overseas in America working in the costume department at a summer camp. This was an amazing cultural and enlightening experience. It boosted my leadership, communication, creativity, teamwork and responsibility skills immensely. I lived with and was responsible for a large group of 13-year-old girls. I was their general counsellor during mornings and evenings. Throughout the day, my timetabled schedule would include working in the costume department either teaching children of different age classes I had organised or producing and altering costumes for shows on camp. The camp displayed five shows throughout the summer. I was also fortunate to travel for 2 weeks after camp exploring Boston, New Orleans, Austin, Phoenix and New York.

    DresserPep And Co
     - Liverpool, United KingdomPart Time
I worked with an event company to organise several models’ clothing for a catwalk and then assisted the models throughout the show. The catwalk displayed Pep & Co’s upcoming clothing ranges. I handled the fast-paced role effectively, listened to instructions, and demonstrated excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. I did this for 2 years running, working on the event.

During my time studying for my fashion degree, I have developed a passion for menswear and am particularly excited by creative pattern cutting, construction, craft, detail and 3D development in CAD and physical forms. For my final major, I researched the work of Edward Burtynsky and how he captures landscapes damaged by human activity. My focus was to create a collection based on the formations and structures of quarries. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I was unable to create my finished garments, but I have detailed toiles available. I have worked hard throughout my degree to design and create garments which are challenging, experimental, unusual and demonstrate a range of processes, and at the same time borrow from real authentic or vintage clothing. In this case, the research was focussed on the history of denim, its use and subsequent adaptation to fashion.
