About me
My name is Emily. I am currently studying at Swansea University, in my final year of a 4 year degree in BA Modern Languages, Translation and Interpreting. Alongside my degree, I am heavily involved with Swansea Student Media, in particular the Students' Union's newspaper - Waterfront - as a regular writer, Creative Writing Editor, Deputy Editor and Artworker.

Through Swansea Student Media and the Waterfront, I have been able to develop IT skills and a passion for using Adobe Software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro. I have artworked several sections in the paper each month, as well as created a video for University Mental Health Day, and made a poster to advertise the Waterfront.

My main role within the Students' Union's newspaper - Waterfront is as Deputy Editor. This role involves ensuring that Section Editors submit their content on time each month, and then proofreading their content. As part of my role as Deputy Editor, I held a recruitment presentation for the Waterfront earlier this year and have trained 3 new Section Editors as a result.
