  • Played a vital role in Crisis at Christmas 2015 – one of the UK’s largest charity events. • An integral member of the resources team – working on with the gifts in kind resources programme for Crisis at Christmas (value in excess of £500,000 per annum) • Researching, identifying and ‘making the ask’ of prospective donors and existing donors (companies, PR agencies, community groups and individuals) – requiring excellent copy writing skills and an eloquently persuasive tone. • Securing the donation and delivery of resources required to set up and run Crisis at Christmas temporary centres and to provide the food, shelter, healthcare, entertainment, employment and housing services • Liaising with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the cost-effective collection and delivery of resources from donors, particularly the delivery, storage and logistical arrangements for food and catering supplies • Also work directly with the homeless - assisting with access to employment and housing opportunities.

  • Completed a month’s internship at award winning documentary production company Mosaic Films. Spent my time researching into various projects and well as assisting the executive production in organising filming locations. • Carried out research for a series of educational films for the BBC, visiting the archives to collect relevant footage and eventually working on a (successful) pitch to the BBC. • Also carried out background research for a series of short films for the charity Mind. • Organised a number of film locations and negotiated good prices. • Assisted with casting of voice-overs. • Gained invaluable experience in to the documentary production industry by shadowing various members of team

  • Completed a summer internship as head of marketing for the relatively new business in Harrogate, was given the task of increasing awareness of the two business’ throughout Yorkshire, as well as creating a ‘character’ for the brand, • Co-managed the business first marketing project including all social media platforms. This required the me to create an effective timeline and plan of action • Wrote daily blogs for and managed the businesses website • Created marketing materials and set up and maintained a monthly newsletter which customers registered for online • Represented the business at important local business mixing events • Aided with budget management for specific marketing projects as well as the maintenance of financial records • Created ‘An Independent Guide to Harrogate’ which enabled Baltzersen’s to build up mutually-beneficial relationships with other independent businesses in the area


Dignitary Manager

  • Gained a key role in the Grand Depart of the Tour de France, looking after officially invited guests, such as the Prime Minister • Duties involved collecting high profile dignitaries from the train station and guiding them to the welcome event at the local art gallery, serving them food and drinks and being a representative for the local area • Escorted guests through the large crowd to the grandstand, as well as keeping watch for any suspicious activity during the race • Efficiently delegated tasks to dignitary volunteers in my team • Maintained effective radio communication to ensure the event ran efficiently • Liaised with the event manager at the end of the day in order to conduct a thorough evaluation of the event

  • Completed a three week internship at the headquarters of the international hotel chain, working principally with the communications team, dealing with public relations, internal communications and social media management • Also worked on various tasks with the marketing team as well as gaining valuable insight into the work of the data handling team • Helped to create a PR pitch brief pack under a strict time constraint, including developing a timeline and plan of action • Contributed creative ideas on how to portray the message of ‘hotels with personality’ to the public and hotels within the BW group. Included work on le Tour de France and Harley Davidson marketing campaigns • Aided with the management of the CEO’s diary, as well as organising meetings and accommodation for travelling employees
