About me
I am an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of sculpture, textiles and performance.
Informed by my upbringing in the North West of England, my practise explores female stories of performativity, power and dress by investigating structures and materials that exist in proximity to the body.
My approach is underpinned by an auto-ethnographic methodology and archive research to unpick how the past, frames the contemporary. To share neglected stories, to challenge, question and unravell the socio-cultural layers present.
I will be graduating from with an MA from the Royal College of Art in summer 2023 and am a Burberry Design Scholar.

Commencing September 2021, I began my MA as part of the renowned Royal College of Art, where I was selected by Burberry, to receive a full tuition-fees scholarship for the two year programme.
During the first year of the programme, I explored the women who become part of ring-wing structures and how they navigate the political and corporate landscapes through dress. Exploring the discourses on the intersectionality of the feminist movement, past and present, the commodification of feminism for political gain and power dressing. This resulted in a number of live performances,
written and sculptural works.
My current practise has pivoted toward my ancestoral home of Bolton, where I continue to discuss gender performativity, dress, power and constructed identities, but within Lancashire.
The phenomenon of the Cotton Queen Quest, in this discussion, acts as a vessel taking us across these towns and into their history, which form the context for contemporary evaluations about Northern Female Identities.
These works will be exhibted in Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, July 2023.
