About me
Hi, I'm Emily: an intensely creative writer skilled in academic and professional writing. A University of Virginia graduate and recent recipient of a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Boston University, I'm a keen editor with an expert ear for tonality, flow and voice, with intensive writing workshop experience. A strong collaborator and practiced content writer adept in audience engagement and reader retention, my work is both highly artistic and reflective of my ability to fit the bill. Knowledgeable in literary magazine and publication design, and familiar with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, I take a meticulous, inventive approach to bringing ideas and language to life. I have experience teaching undergraduates at the university level, offering creative approaches to the interpretation of writing, art and culture. Additionally, I'm a well-traveled musician, painter, passionate poet and songwriter, experienced with screenwriting software Final Draft and ProTools. Above all, I'm an avid storyteller with the skills to convince.
