I have strong creative and organisational skills proven by the work I have carried out in fashion retail and within my degree course, at UCLAN. With my various experiences, from brand management to product design I have an excellent portfolio of employment, as well as a clear sense of passion lying in a mix of the business and fashion industries.
Implementing my many PR related and marketing skills, I was employed as a Photographer and PR representative to assist at the Fusion Festival during August 2015. - Communication – entailed a strong sense of liasing and social skills to ensure the celebrities and media’s upmost comfort within the environment. - Digital – carrying out a wide range of photographic elements such as still life, press, media and brand specific photography which also included post-production and editorial assignments. - General admin – assisting with any day to day scheduling, tasks, employee problems, brand management within the lounge and any PR activity.
My most recent role as Creative Marketing Assistant has given me an extensive insight into the e-commerce sector of the fast fashion industry reaching into a variety of roles from blogger outreach to social media management. Immersing and developing into a range of business sectors I have grown a keen outlook towards many skill sets and job roles from this position, which entailed a 4 month internship, unpaid. - Online photography and social media imagery including editing and Adobe program practice. - Blogger outreach and public relation services – communicating and liasing with private business relations, members of the media and fashion industry. - Social media management – from content sourcing to Hootsuite publishing and growth success in social platforms Twitter and Facebook primarily and tripling of brand sales from management of this. - General blog maintenance – sourcing and creating blog posts with relevant content and current affairs. - Graphic design – in relation to social media digital design, website imagery and competition graphics. - Weekly and monthly reporting and statistics venturing into online competitors, cross sectors and general performance.
- Creativity – Within the role of a merchandiser, I have been able to fully demonstrate my creative ability on the shopfloor and visually through various displays, showcases and fashion shows. - Management – The supreriority of the role has also opened me to a wider range of skills including stock management, delivery planning and CV analysis. - Achievement – Growing into a highly commended position within a well recognised high street retailer has allowed me to appreciate the success of brands, and reflect the hard work and dedication I wish to enlist throughout my career. - Flexibility – I have also managed to gain a strong relationship with two stores within the Debenhams brand, remaining a consistent and valuable employee at the Hereford and Preston locations.
I have recently studied at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) where I gained a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Brand Management. Previous to this I studied at Earl Mortimer College (formerly The Minster College) throughout all of high school where I achieved 9 A-C grade GCSE’s including English Language & Literature, Science and Maths. I finished studying at Hereford Sixth Form College in 2012 where I took 3 A Level subjects, achieving Grade C’s in all.
