  • In this position I worked in a team of three to deliver a calendar of events exceeding 35 projects per annum (more than 60 events). Primary duties included: Planning and executing events ranging from internal conferences to in-store midnight launches for publishing partners. Researching and sourcing venues and suppliers Creating solid communication methods so as to work with our seven field groups and more than 440 stores in Australia and New Zealand Working with media teams to ensure national coverage of events was attained Peripheral to the above duties, I also undertook the following tasks: Engaged in forming strong B2B and B2C stakeholder relationships Create briefs and presentations for both internal and external use Contract suppliers and venues extensively Design both merchandise and associated marketing collateral for consumer purchase Create branding assets for distribution in stores across three retail brands Manage large budgets; training and overseeing teams on projects Coordinate event associated publications and websites Highlights included: Being a key member in the planning and execution of EB EXPO 2014 and 2015 - a public exhibition showcasing the hottest video games before release and related pop culture attractions. In 2015, the event was attended by more than 36,750 guests Overseeing the launch events and event branding for new retail line Zing Pop Culture - with more than 19 launches in 2015 alone Planning and managing destination conferences in both the Barossa Valley (South Australia) and on Tangalooma Island (Queensland).   • We Are Agency was the brainchild of myself and four other freelancers who banded together to create our own brand of event management and styling, marketing, social media management, talent booking, photography, and graphic design. In the two years we were in operation, we were able to undertake a huge amount of work in numerous industries. No project was too great or small. As Director of the group, I learnt a huge amount about managing a team, dealing with clients, negotiating, as well as becoming super autonomous and self-motivated. To date, it’s been one of the most informative and shaping experiences of my career.
