About me
I'm a freelance copywriter with experience in almost every sector. I specialise in travel and hospitality, and have written everything from journal articles and hotel websites to restaurant menus and creative concepts.
I split my time between the advertising and nonprofit sectors. I'm deeply passionate about amplifying underrepresented female voices in the media, and have worked for nonprofit programme Sahar Speaks since 2016.
Projects
- Travel Writing for Small Luxury Hotels of the WorldWhile working as a Copywriter at leading UK agency Ink Copywriters, I wrote countless journal articles for Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). Using my strong research skills, I produced compelling, evocative pieces that sold the place, and more importantly, the SLH hotels. I wrote the SEO-optimised content from scratch in the SLH tone of voice. I also came up with snappy headlines and subheads, as well as a scene-setting standfirst to draw the reader in.

This nonprofit programme provides training and publishing opportunities to Afghan female journalists. As Head of Programmes, my role is largely editorial. I edit the news stories and prepare them for publication, and also help the women structure and plan their work.
I also liaise with editors of different news outlets, seeking out further publishing opportunities for the women after training.
