About me
I’m an accomplished editor and project manager who’s been the driving force behind culturally significant projects, including 'The Climate Book' by Greta Thunberg, 'What is Black Art?, 140 Artists’ Ideas for Planet Earth' with the Serpentine Galleries, and 'Poor Artists' by The White Pube. Formerly an Assistant Editor at Penguin Random House, my expertise spans publishing, copy editing, video editing, project management, and identifying up and coming voices in the creative industry. I have extensive experience working with artists and curators and I maintain a research-based art practice. Some achievements I’m proud of include being shortlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize (2020), being commissioned to write for Bad Form (2022) and most recently being invited to DePaul University in Chicago to present my research to students of the Department of International Studies (2024).

Against a State of Forgetting - Guest Speaker at DePaul UniversityAs part of the Department of International Studies’ syllabus titled ‘Identities and Boundaries’, I presented a John Berger-esque reading of When the Emperor was Divine by Julie Otsuka. Using Otsuka’s novel and scholarly research on the internment of Japanese Americans during World War 2, I connected the politics of discourse and manipulation of language with collective memory loss.
  • Shifting the Centre: Grenada as Reference (Exhibition)
Shifting the Centre: Grenada as Reference (Exhibition)Working closely with the exhibition curator, I was invited to film and edit a video synopsis of the International Curators Forum’s first iteration of the Shifting the Centre project, entitled Grenada as Reference. The exhibition was held at the Black Cultural Archives in Brixton in 2023.
