My design inspiration are often taken by spending my free time outdoors and surrounding myself to nature as it is heavily influence on my designs. I am particularly interested in techniques such as hand embroidery, beading, appliqué, digital and machine embroidery. Merging various hand and machine embroidery techniques are my approach when creating design compositions. I am now seeking for industry experience in bespoke and couture womenswear as a hand embroiderer. Also, I am open to freelance work and commissions so feel free to message or email me firstname.lastname@example.org
- Paving Journey S/S20 Outerwear - Final Major ProjectFor my final major project, I was inspired by the different irregular shapes and textures of pavements and plants that are taken from my personal routine map in Birmingham. The aim for this project is to create a range of luxurious fabric swatches for S/S20 outerwear. Hand embroidery and knit techniques combined with digital processes are mainly used for the final collection. These images shows the different stages of my research, drawing, initial sampling to my final outcomes.
