About me
I'm an assistant editor at Coronet, an imprint which prides itself in voice-driven and innovative non-fiction and fiction. I've project managed books by DJ Fat Tony, Graham Norton, Sara Cox and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and edited authors like Daisy Jones, Kate Sawyer and Melvin Burgess. I studied English Literature at the University of Glasgow, and worked at Glasgow University Magazine (GUM) for the duration of my studies. I was editor-in-chief during my final year, during which we tripled our social media following and won the SPA award for best design.

As below, with additional responsibilities like editing and commissioning. I'm building my own list with a focus on trend and pop-culture led non-fiction with a fresh, innovative angle. I'm also looking for identity-driven narrative non-fiction and accessible, commercial non-fiction within politics, current affairs and cultural commentary.

My role as the editorial assistant for the Coronet imprint included project management for our titles (including book and managing freelancers) as well as daily admin like offer memos, costings and contract paperwork, collation and creating prelims. I'd also brief covers and write cover and catalogue copy, and updating metadata. The role also included reading and reporting on submissions and editing as required.
